Unique Ways to Use the MV7i

Unique & creative ways to use the MV7i Smart Microphone and Interface

MV7i Smart Microphone & Interface allow you to get your ideas down faster and with less setup time. Here's some ways to get creative with your MV7i.

  1. Record anywhere you want!
Simply plug the mic into your phone or laptop, and add an additional mic for your guest and start recording with the free MOTIV Audio app, or in your preferred App. It's that simple! Quick set up time, and DSP to minimize editing in post is a winning combination.

  2. Karaoke with your friends!
With MV7i, you just need to add a vocal mic of your choice to the input of the MV7i and you've suddenly got two singers on one channel. Tip: In the MOTIV app, set each channel to 'Singing'.

  3. Home studio on the go!
MV7i is versatile, and works for both vocals and acoustic instruments. Plus, you can plug in electronic instruments like electric guitars and synths, thanks to its dual XLR & ¼” input.

  4. Podcast like a pro!
The preamp inside the MV7i has enough to hanle even low-output mics and also has phamtom power for condenser mics. It also has a new trick up its sleeve: SmartGate™, which will automatically switch off a mic when you or your guest stops talking. This cuts out background noise and crosstalk, making it easier for your listeners to follow the conversation.

TIP!

The audio output of the MV7i can be configured to suit your production needs. You have some further useful options for exporting the audio: Mixdown, Multi-Track, and Stereo Mode.

Mixdown Mode

Combines microphone and mono input audio into one mono audio output. Perfect for occasions when you want to use the audio quickly with no additional post production.

Multi-Track Mode

Renders 2 separate mono audio tracks, one for the microphone and one for the input.  Ideal when you want to keep the two tracks separate for further editing.

Stereo Mode

Combines microphone and stereo 1/4” TRS audio into one stereo audio track. Preserves the stereo audio from the input and places mic in both left and right channels. Great for voiceovers with stereo audio in the background.
